poh-ig-04Celebrate the happiest day of your life at Pella Opera House. Located in the heart of downtown Pella, with the Molengracht behind us, the classical elegance of the Pella Opera House has played host to some of the city’s greatest moments, making it the perfect place to host your unforgettable event.

In the fall of 2016, we renovated our building with a complete upgraded HVAC system, a beautifully redesigned Great Hall and state-of-the-art light in the theatre.

The cost to rent the Opera House for a wedding reception is $1500. This includes the tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, dance floor, raised wedding party table, slide show in the Great Hall or theatre, set-up and clean-up. You are welcome to provide the caterer of our choice. We have a new in-ceiling surround sound system if you do not use a DJ.

The lobby is yours to decorate, if you’d like. Three dress forms for the mother and grandmother wedding dresses are available as well. We can play music outside to welcome your guests.

You will have Friday from 10am – 4pm to decorate. If you have a bar, there is a charge for the bartender(s), which is $18 per hour.

For a wedding upstairs in the theatre, the cost is an additional $500. Backstage are 3 dressing rooms, bathrooms and showers. Our production manager will be with you for your rehearsal and wedding to run lights, sound and if you have a slide show.
