The story of a young girl who has been said to be able to spin straw into gold, the greedy king who locks her up until she does and the strange, magical little man, Rumplestiltsken who appears and promises to spin the straw in return for her jewelry. The journey continues through the many adventures, twists and turns that make this unforgettable story so exciting. This classic tale comes to the stage filled with song and audience participation along with the fabulous stage sets and costumes that the Panto Company USA is internationally known for!

  • Davis Folkerts and Friends: Christmas at the Opera House

    Kick off the holiday season with an annual favorite–Davis Folkerts on the Barton Theatre Organ along with vocalists and instrumentalists singing along with you to many Yuletide favorites. This is always one of our most popular shows! Open prior to the show will also be the annual Festival of Trees at the Pella Opera House.

    Open for two weeks!

    Visit the 2019 Festival of Trees, a winter wonderland of trees, lights, garland, and decorations! Browse the items in our Christmas Boutique on the Balcony or find your next Christmas centerpiece in our Great Hall. You’ll see beautiful trees surrounding the Great Hall and in our lobbies. All items will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting Pella Opera House educational and youth programming. 

     

    November 23-December 7 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. 

    Open 1:00 -4:00 pm, Sunday, December 1, closed all other Sundays.

    Opens at 9:00 am December 6-7.

    Open until 9:00 pm December 5-7.           (CLOSED THANKSGIVING)

     

  • Due North A Cappella and Dinner

    Dec. 12-13 at 7 pm

    Dinner at 5:30 pm both nights.

    Due North is one of the Midwest’s newest a cappella ensembles. Hailing from the Twin Cities area, the name was inspired from Minnesota’s formally adopted French motto “L’Etoile du Nord” meaning “Star of the North”. Over the past year Due North has been travelling all over the Midwest and was recently crowned the 2018 Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes Champions! 

    At 5:30 pm both nights we will be serving a buffet dinner. $25 per person. This is a great way to make it a night out with dinner and a show! Looking for something to do with your friends or even your office holiday party, this is the perfect setting.
